today’s briefing she thought was rather important. further indepth details about 2D. 3D, contextual and contemporary art was explained and she copied everything down , hoping it would be useful for her new “friend”.
it was rather weird for the girl because no one else really took out anything to jot down stuff. but she did it anyway. she realized she has to fend for herself, and do what she finds is right, and not to go with the crowd, not to care about what others around her might say about her nerdyness. but hey! it proved to be good
suddenly when the lecturers talked about the things to bring to the respective classes the next week , there was a shuffle of bags and paper and the click of pens when the girl was sitting relaxed and looking around at the commotion. oh, finally the rest took out their diaries and pens to copy stuff down. gawd. she was quite happy with herself hee! and she felt good inside
it ended a little later than the day before but still she decided to pay a visit to curly boy and at the same time borrow his camera for the botanic gardens outing the following day.
when she left, she took many shots of dragonflies resting on the barbed wires on the walls of the terrace houses.
while walking home, she picked out samples of ixora buds, dried leaves and a stem of fern for drawing practices, in preparation for botanic gardens! she was quite worried that she wun be able to draw still life on the spot because normally she’d draw from pictures or from the computer screen. she needed the practice. she knew it. she didn’t wanna lag behind the others who have taken art before in secondary school and jc levels. her competitive nature is emerging.
