its postcard competition day!
Shira-Chan was pretty much excited about it and planned in the morning before going to school . it was her first time using coloured pencils to colour a self portraits. usually it would be in pencil, and she thought it looked not bad!
however her final piece was quite disappointing. her face didn’t look that good in pen, but there was no time to waste. she was gonna meet Eiki-San(a.k.a Chiji) and had to be on time.
Shira-Chan went to school early, and it was juz in time for Chiji’s main study lesson. it was fortunate to meet J.L so she had company.
J.L took her to the library after chatting under the mango tree at a stone table outside the FA(find arts) staffroom. it was her first time there and maan… IT WAS SO DAMN SMALL!!! no seating at all for the ppl who had came in with us. she though she wouldn’t dare go library alone to draw stuff. she was intimidated. she wished the library was emptier. it was simply overcrowded man…
it was time to go and she bid farewell to J.L, met N.T outside the library and assembled at the PA block. it was they first time they met their classmates, and so, they couldn’t remember names. upon getting their postcards after being briefed, Shira tried to make friends with two other gals and tried to get them to the shady spot instead of the canteen. but they went ahead to the canteen when N.T and her enjoyed the breeze under the mango tree.
Shira-Chan hasn’t taken a look at the wall, that was filled with postcards from the morning session and wanted to take a look. she ran all the way to the design block and passed her secondary school classmate, Miyabita along with her jc friend, J.N. Shira chatted for a while and finished up the leftover beef from their hor fun. deeeelicious! (the girl hasn’t taken lunch yet)
“whao it was damn cool!” she thought when she saw the wall. but she was quite surprised some were not very well done… maybe they didn’t really give a damn. and she headed back to continue doing her art.
Shira-Chan found that beside N.T on the other side of the stone table, sat a girl with long hair. she decided not to leave her out and made friends. she got to know from the other gal’s accent that she wasn’t local. she’s Vietnamese and her name in short, was K, or M.Q in chinese.
it was kinda weird because the Vietnamese gal kept saying “Your art is so beautiful”, and later when she saw the girl’s picture at hand, she asked if she could see and said “You are so beautiful” in the same accent. but it got quite confusing coz both phrases she said sounded alike. soon after N.T confirmed that the Vietnamese gal liked her, and the phrase as always ws “you are so beautiful” and not “your art’s so beautiful”
damn!
N.T was being quite impolite and superficial as all sjcians in general would, oh sigh. coz she said to her friend on the phone some mean things abt the Vietnamese gal. aiyoh.
the Vietnamese gal told her that she studied Chinese in grades 1,2, and 3 and wondered if she understood wad N.T had said… gawd.
N.T was damn slack… sigh… she wished she could help N.T change but she didn’t think she deserves such help. N.T was joking and talking nonsensical stuff all the way and kept saying she didn’t know wad to do with her postcard. She even took out her hp with a video of her dog humping a soft toy, and a guy fucking a woman using his head. Shira-Chan wished N.T had more drive.
another gal who was lost came by. S.J’s her name. she was late and couldn’t find the lecturer in charge of her class to get a postcard. luckily the Vietnamese gal took extra postcards and offered S.J one of hers. J.L also popped by and started chatting and gave N.T some help.
Shira was so engaged in talking that she had to rush to finish up her work. she felt if she didn’t talk to the Vietnamese girl, it would be really bad on her part. thinking back… eww… wad N.T said might very well be true! while talking , N.T said the Vietnamese girl kept questioning the girl only, asking her why she liked drawing flowers, what kind of flowers she liked, and when she returned the glue she borrowed from the girl, she stressed “You, fhank you ferry much!” when on the other hand, she returned N.T’s pen knife and juz said “fhank you”
that day, she felt that she accomplished a great thing and was very proud of her work. she was confident she would win.

but the odds were very low. she knew very well that there were others who outshined hers already, and the position of her postcard would be really high and hard to see. so it was a pity. no one would vote for her.
Shira-Chan met up with Chiji at the coffee shop across the road and met two new ppl. B and J from the music side( for ur info, B and J don’t stand for ben and jerry’s)
after drinking some ice cold sugarcane juice, Chiji and Shira headed for city hall to check out cds and drums resources. it was really nice for her to spend quality time with Chiji, without curly getting moody. YAY. and Chiji even sent her home! YAY YAY
